The Toyota FT-86 Sports Concept II is a rear wheel drive coupe that has been developed in cooperation with Subaru which will also present their own version in the next months. Both cars will share the same underpinnings and mechanical hardware, including the 2.0L engine and 6 speed transmission.
The concept retains classic sports-car underpinnings with a front-mounted 2.0-litre engine - now boosted with a turbo - driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission
Compared to its predecessor, the first FT-86 concept, this car has redesigned front and rear ends, more pronounced surfaces and many other small elements that make this car a bit more interesting, safer and even more practical.
